My interpretation of Ewbank is to think about giving a grade of x + 1 if the pitch has grade x moves but is runnout or has some bad rock, etc. If there's a reasonable chance of getting hurt, mention it in the description. But grading is more art than science - the objectivity of Ewbank breaks down when a pitch has no protection (there's a few examples around Adelaide and at Moonarie). In that case I'd give x + 1 and spell out the challenge as clearly as possible for any readers who might struggle with English. |
