The open national lead and speed championships are being held here in Victoria this year on the 23rd to the 25th of March at Hardrock and Gravity Worx.

There is still time to enter the Open B and Masters divisions if you wish to compete. Head to the Sport Climbing Australia webpage for more details and to register. I've also put in some details in the upcoming events section.

This will be a huge event held over three days and so Sport Climbing Victoria and Sport Climbing Australia are putting out a call for volunteers as many hands make light work!

Friday: Lead Event - Open A Lead Qualifier Only
Hardrock Climbing, 16-18 Varman Court, Nunawading, VIC 3131

Saturday: Lead Event - Semi-Final Open A, Qualifier Open B and Master, Final Open A, Masters and Open B

Sunday: Speed Event

By becoming a judge, competition belayer or other official, you will better understand how competitions work and enjoy a sense of fulfilment in being an integral part of making it happen.

Being a volunteer at a climbing event requires patience, motivation, commitment, punctuality, stamina, calmness and being a team player. If you have all these requirements please fill in your details below.

Please note: as a volunteer you will be focused on one climber at a time, there will not be time to sit and watch the competition.

Training will be provided for both belayers and judges. Belay training will be on Wednesday 21 March, 2018. Please ensure you are available for this training if you are belaying.
