More than likely the drive is good and the enclosure electronics have failed.
Plug the bare drive out of it's case into another computer or external drive caddy and you will probably get all of your data.
Failing that, if you can get a hold of an identical drive swapping the actual HDD logic board onto yours may bring it back to life. This only takes a few minutes.
If that doesn't work, next thing is open it up and look for stuck heads or stuck spindle bearing.
Anything past that and you will spend the rest of your life paying it off.
If you were close I would sort it for you. |
