Am ill alright Wendy, thought everyone knew that thanks but informed too, but I listen to Mitchell not Laws!
Am happy to stand *completely* corrected on the fact that I was incorrect in my original post about it being our taxes. Guilty as charged. Point being, our taxes *should* go towards hospitals, childrens' welfare, the aged etc. I just put cart before horse and the premise of my post was lost or misplaced.
,,,, (if that figure was pulled from anywhere more informative than your arse) ,,,
Herald Scum I think ,,, says it all, ha!
,,, or perhaps you would like to contemplate whether indignation at climbers such (as?) yourself collecting the dole and going climbing is reasonable?
It was Thatcher's Britain. There were few jobs and the Enterprise Allowance Scheme covered for dole & rent payments so I could legitimately go climbing .... Problem with that? - Considering I actually *did* make a career out of it and paid my taxes.
Ohh, we *are* on a roll aren't we Wendy..... but at least (for once) somebody puts a spark of conversation into this dull place.
I actually couldn't agree *more* with *any* of the examples you cite above, seriously, and am probably as ropable as yourself and others at the way (parts of) our society are being fiscally managed.
Over & out.
