Insure4Less has insured me for technical alpinism in Kyrgyzstan, BUT -as we all know by now- Insure4Less don't offer any sort of climbing-related insurance in the US. I had no problems with 2.5 months of sport/trad/bigwall climbing in the US using Virgin Money Insurance (which did have a section covering mountaineering, though I didn't pay too close attention to it), and -as I've mentioned in previous US Climbing-Insurance-related posts, we DID test after my partner's accident (and probably fairly hefty medical bills). Maybe look into that? Regards, -Paul
