These calls for help are so soft. Cannot people accept its gone tits up and wait until morning, like the grose rescues.

Agreed wide bro, though in my mind the article referred is still a little ambiguous whether the climbers were common bushwalkers being adventurous, or climbers as have ropes and pro and know how to use it.

But unless it was getting really cold they were probably in no immediate danger and could have just waited until morning to either find their way back down or call for help.
They ended up spending the night there anyway if I read the article correctly.
