Finaly got there on the last day. Good to see the paintings up all together and they look great in real life. Pretty big show for one man. I loved the rock series, they're really interesting forms, as climbers know. Even one I've climbed with Mic from his extensive knowledge of local obscure crags (I'm swarn to secrecy!). You might not get to see the Koala series in the next show but I found them an intriguing whimsical theme, the expression on one made me laugh. I like stuff that plays with oz icons. Great to have Mic take us through all the paintings. I hope he continues to show and develop both these themes. Can't think of an artist that has a climbers relationship with the landscapes they paint, it certainly brings a different eye. Good one Mic!
