The 1985 'Ash Wednesday' bush fires ravaged most of the Youies and a number of those faces exposed to the heat developed the exfoliation problem. The climb 'A Question of Sausages' in the Saddle Car Park area, was originally graded 15, but once cleared of the fire damaged flakes was reclimbed by Kevin Lindorff and regraded 23. So be warned.
