I'd say that honour goes to the Grampians. So does wiki. Arapiles isn't there because of localised crust uplifting. It is there because the rock got hardened by magma intrusion underneath. There are plenty of other volcanic induced formations south and west of Arapiles including a bunch of volcanos. These are aren't part of the Great Dividing Range Either. |
