I choose the one that will result in the most comfortable position for me to sit in while I bask in the sun and occasionally take in the rope. Seriously though, I use a combination of all three options discussed earlier depending on the circumstances such as anchor position and the likelihood of the second falling. Increasingly though,, I've been using the autoblock set-up off the anchor.
