Wouldn't bother, highway is still closed with black ice. Once it opens it will be busy. Then, once it cools down again by about 4pm, the ice will begin to re-form. Lots of numptys have slid off the road in the last 36 hours. We're not going anywhere in Mt Vic today. Yesterday was a 16km ski tour from my front door! It included skiing to the top of Viparete at Mt York. Unfortunately the 'Arete was not in skiable condition.
