Regarding the Shipley/Glen area, a lot of money ($thousands by now) has been raised by the Crag Care group in the last few years with the intention of funding an eco toilet there. The money is held in trust by the Sydney Rockclimbing Club, who have undertaken to match it from their Access Fund. I believe that the dunny manufacturer was willing to supply it at a knock down price. Not sure where the plans are at.
But the money is only one part of it. You can't just go and plonk a shithouse at the end of someone's street. I think that selling the idea to residents will be the hard part. |
