Did anyone hear the guy on the ABC talking about "permanent" daylight saving - with an extra hour in summer? Essentially what he meant was changing the clocks forward an hour.
There seem to be two camps (morning vs afternoon people)

His arguments were:
- Improved mental health - more sunlight is directly associated with health
- Less accidents on roads
- Lower crime rates as most crimes happen at night
- Better for physical health, more time to excercise in the afternoon.

You can imagine, the callers were opposed to his suggestion!
"rather come home in the dark than eat breakfast in the dark"
"what about the farmers!?"
"I'm not taking my kids to school in the dark"
"I jog along the beach every morning..."
