it usually takes about 10 months to organise an 8000m expedition (on a commercial level) for non-commercial it would be a little less than that, maybe 6 months depending upon who you know and the amount of $ you want to spend. i can email you one our broad peak expedition dossier which has timelines, gear lists etc if that is of help.
