the norm for an 8000er is between 2 and 3 months. All expeditions have acclimatisation written into the program. The trek to base camp is straight forward From US10,000 for a place on a permit, but you'll still have to contribute to route fees, ie fixed rope access and liason officers, cookstaff, porters, sherpas, etc etc
