I climbed on that Mac Uni wall a number of times when it was being managed by Dulcie & John Norman who at that time also owned/ran the Wetherill Park Climbing Gym.
I don't recall any real conflict between the badminton operation and the climbing operation.
And when you think about it, what a waste it is that so many gymnasiums around the country (the world?) utilise only the horizontal surface of their space while the quite considerable vertical surfaces of their enclosures go unused.
