when i was a newb (still am, i think) my climbing mates did this a few times:
experienced climber leads a climb, lowers off
experienced climber 2 lead another very close climb - makes them sefl safe at the anchors
newb climber seconds original climb and goes through the previously practiced on the ground method under supervision.
once id done this a few times and was confident i was doing the right thing the experienced climber could let me clean also feeling confident
doing it on the ground is no substitue for doing it when you are tired and in an exposed situation |
