We just joined the English branch of the Austrian Alpine Club (http://aacuk.org.uk/). Depending on how long you're going for that should probably cover you (obviously read the fine print). It was about $100 or so to join and has some other benefits when staying in refugio's etc. Looked into getting climbing insurance through an insurer and it was going to cost $1000's. Didn't actually have to use the insurance though, so...
