G'day folks,
I just wanted to pass on this warning to any climbers planning on parking at Pierces Pass (Blue Mountains) any time soon.
Last weekend multiple cars parked there had their windows smashed and goods taken. I've included an email below from one of the victims, who was with a group doing Yileen Canyon.
I've also uploaded a couple images of the damage to the OzCanyons facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/groups/OzCanyons/
Each to their own, but it may be worth considering parking on Bells Line, where there is more visibility, and enduring the extra 1.5km walk for the time being.

Subject: FYI Car break-ins at Pierces Pass

For your reference, a group of Venturers and I had our equipment liberated from my car in the Pierces Pass carpark last weekend (common access to Yileen Canyon, various rock climbs). The car next to us was broken into as well. Maybe the best bet is to park with more visibility up on Bells line and face the walk next time?
