Ascent type vs grade relativity 6-Oct-2012 At 1:12:03 PM Tassie_boy

Inspired by the hardest trad climb thread, I thought it would be interesting to compare the relativity of grades people have climbed. The comparisons that I find most interesting are sport:trad:bouldering and flash:redpoint. For the purpose of this discussion I will define trad as fully naturally protected, and flash as successfully and cleanly completing a climbing route on the first attempt with or without beta of some form and without returning to the ground. Please avoid debating the definitions, rather clarify your response if you feel it is necessary. Perhaps years of outdoor lead climbing experience would also be worth noting as a reference.

My unimpressive score is: (flash/redpoint)

Trad: 19/19
Sport: 21/21
Bouldering: V1/V4

Years climbing: ~3

EDIT: I would be surprised if this hasn't been done before (I didn't look) so if there is a similar thread to revive then can someone please lock and revive away!
