1-11 beginner 12-22 intermediate 23-33 advanced its a fair split but doesn't mean much. everyone thinks numbers, but Ive seen hard climbing Euros who can only climb on bolts become a shaking mess when trying to lead trad at low grades. and Ive seen other climbers who don't climb higher than teens who are experts at any and all types of rope systems, bolts, trad, rescue. to me perhaps a bumbly is someone who has enough knowledge/info to get into trouble, but not enough experience/common sense to get back out of trouble. just my two bobs worth
