According to Lyle Closs's Facebook page, Tasmanian climber Reg Williams has gone to the big crag in the sky. This is what Lyle says -
"Farewell to Reg Williams - we climbed The Candlestick, the double Geryon traverse, the Coles Bay Sea Level traverse, Brunhilde at Stacks Bluff, Federation Peak NW Face and Golden Deidre - all before my 18th birthday. Thanks Reg, and a tearful goodbye."

If this is true, then it is sad to hear of another climber departing the mortal coil, and I my condolences go to his family and friends.

My friend, Neil Lamb, knew Reg way back then, when you could count the number of rockclimbers in each state, on two hands.- if you were lucky..
He sends his condolences and so do I.
Champion.

Apologies for that incredibly cumbersome first sentence.
