Did anyone catch the section on ABC Radio about Dr Dark yesterday? I was busy shovelling sediment out of a well so couldn't give it my all attention. Downloading the Podcast now.

Dr Dark was actually my school doctor. He worked as a government doctor and did medical examinations of school students (this was in the 60's at primary school in the Blue Mts). He was a nice old guy - and I can remember some of the teachers telling us he was a pioneer rock climber - and had climbed the Three Sisters etc. I can remember in early high school failing a hearing test, and the next few students also failed, then he realised that his watch (you had to listen to see if you could hear the watch ticking) had actually stopped! I don't think he could hear the watch himself.
