Thanks M9. Just re-read my post - sorry for the confusion, the 'string' is the petzl krab holder, same as on the petzl draws. It just holds the oval in position. I think I am doing the same as you only i have been concerned about shortening the daisy as I have climbed, obviously i just need to get on with it on go with the fifi when i can. Cheers!
