Neil pretty much hit the nail on the head but it's a fine line that's hard to draw - if it even matters. One well-known American climber got that way by soloing some "5.13's" in near Moab, one of which was an FA I believe. He later took a lot of slander in the community for the reality that they were really V8 boulder problems with 5.11 finishes. Whatever. Who's to say? |
