yeah you're right, he could have just climbed the crack to the left of Sincerity (Charity, a gr10) using his trad gear and then top rope Sincerity. thanks for your feedback. Wish i had thought of this possibility on the spot myself and suggested it to him.. maybe this would've avoided the bad experience
