araps over NY - good choice? 25-Dec-2011 At 9:43:39 PM strerror

so just thought I'd throw this question out there, but i guess it's particularly aimed at local natimukians!
Currently along with my climbing partner, we've got off from 31-6th Jan. Now the forecast (fwiw!) says that all the local options we'd normally go to (ie mountains / nowra / point perp / etc) will have bad weather, so we've decided that we'd be happy enough to drive down to araps given how great the climbing is there. My question is, normally I know that it would be the wrong time of the year to even consider climbing, just way too hot (I have friends that claim they've made the mistake and burnt their hands of the rock!). Is the cooler summer that Sydney is experiencing also the case at Araps? From what I can tell from the forecasts it seems to be the case, but can anyone give me any insight into what they think the weather will be like for the next week and if it would be a waste of time to come down and try climbing?
