> belayed someone on a gear loop.... I've seriously never understood how this works. What is people's thought process when they do this - "Gee, my belay loop sure is really thin, waaay off to the side and covered in plastic today!"? Or do you just flail around your waist with the biner while looking straight ahead - "Well, I clipped something, I'm good to go!" Are there certain harnesses where the belay loop and gear loops are just really close together and the same colour for some retarded reason?
