a std araps rack would look like a set a rp's, 2 sets of nuts +/- hexes and a set of cams plus about 12-15 draws. that will get you up pretty most multi-pitches. you could probably cut that back to 10-12 draws 1 1/2 sets of nuts and a set of cams to BD camalot #3 and still climb alot. there are not many pitches over 50m at the mount but there are a few 25m plus raps, that said there is generally a walk off option for the longer raps. so you can get away with a 50m rope.
there's a notice board at the toilet block at araps and it is generally pretty easy to hook up with other climbers, though this is not the case at the gramps.
