Vasovagal (Syncopal episode). Not shock, not a reaction, not uncommon, and not a problem, but an annoying side effect for you (and the blood bank staff). Simular to getting up to quick when getting out of a hot bath. Worth drinking lots of fluid before you head off to give blood! Just wanted to clarify in order to alleviate any concerns (read: further excuses) people might have. Hilarious to watch someone have a syncopal episode, come to, jump up to quickly, and have another, etc etc.
