Get over it guys. On my first visit to Araps in '91, I saw piles of rotting tat on the top of heaps of climbs and a rabbit warren of tracks thru' degraded bush. The place was a mess and there were many fewer climbers. Bolted abseil anchors make a lot of sense aesthetically and environmentally(not to mention safety). I remember a Victorian bagging Andrew Penney in some mag at the time, for building tracks and access chains etc at the County. Wake up, climbing is popular and you can rail against it but making its impacts lower is the only way forward. |
