Have Cinch. WOuldnt recommend it. Cant stop-start abseil on it without an epic. Need prussik or jumar to unweight cinch to recommence abseil in worst cases eg overhanging routes. Similarly belaying anyone heavier than myself, which is most people, on an overhung route means I end up in the air and have trouble lowering to the ground (ie we are both suspended mid air).
I have used a Sum, Eddy and Grigri but am most familiar with the Gri Gri. I reckon for bolting the Grigri works the best. |
