Correct fitting of climbing shoes |

There seems to be endless postings of people trying to 'off load' near new shoes that have been purchased one or two sizes too small. What is going on ??
In my opinion, unless you're climbing really smeary high grades surely snug fitting shoes (as opposed to an excruciating ones) will suffice. There seems to be this all-pervading myth that one has to cram ones 'tootsies' into the smallest boots possible.
By implication, I'm not for a moment suggesting that one should 'float' around in over sized shoes either. Also, I do appreciate that some shoes do stretch a bit.
