8/12 To 10-Dec-2006 TOTAL FIRE BAN in Victoria this weekend
A word of advice. This weekend we should all remember that its a TOTAL FIRE BAN in Victoria. That
means we shouldn't lighting anything (including fuel stoves). This is really important to head as we
already have lost half of the Grampians to fires last year. One small fire in the Vic Ranges or Stapylton
and it could be th end of ANY Grampians climbing for quite some time. PLEASE dont light fires - and if
you see anyone doing it make sure you tell them off! please please pretty please. if you're a smoker, quit
for weekend or stay at home. The place is ready to ignite any day now...
