Thanks for congratulations!:) These were the bouldering competitions, there were 4 routes, each of them had one top and two intermediate bonuses. The figures mean that I made tops in 2 routes in 5 attemts and 8 bonuses (all possible) in 5 attempts.

That makes more sense - it sounds like it's not an everyday practice. I would prefer to leave a biner behind rather than carry out that rigmarole but I can probably afford more biners than our Russian friends.

Please tell us what the bonus points are for.
Are they time related?

All these bits about lowering off .. what about the tried and tested technique of topping out?

It was probably on the baurock.ru site, but I'd need a translator to find it !

a) downclimb after unclipping 1st draw.
b) don't unclip it, lower off then solo up to it to get it back
c) stay clipped into the rope, unclip the first draw and jump off - your belayer will be yanked off their feet and dragged through the dirt/rocks/spectators like an anchor thus stopping you from slamming into the tree(s). Of course your belayer may drop you in surprise/retaliation.

You are right again :). It's not an everyday practice. And biner are dear enough that them to leave on rocks. Not enough biner, but a lot of rocks :))
