Kinesio Tape - shoulder injury support?

I've been doing some research in to Kinesio (or Kinesiology) Tape. Having seen it used during the
Tennis season and now reading that's it's been around for several years it's fascinating me at the
moment with it's potential uses and remedies.

You can see some more info at these links if you're interested:
http://www.athletictapeinfo.com/
http://kttape.com/forclinics/

Has anyone here used it? Or is anyone a practitioner (physio/chriopractor etc) that may have
suggested and used the tape on a patient?

I'm particularly interested in its use for pain reduction and ROM improvements (the two go hand in
hand for my injury), and use it in conjunction with my current treatments.

As my injury won't be benefited by strapping or taping that immobilises the joint or limits its ROM, the
KT seems like a good inbetween, and has the benefit of being able to keep on for up to a week in
some cases.

Thoughts?

If you're planning to use kinesio tape, don't think that it is the be all and end all of injury prevention. Always strengthen the muscle that is injured. That is the quickest path to recovery and further injury prevention.

If you're struggling with injuries to your feet, strengthen them. This is a good article on how to fix flat feet, which is universally applicable to every athlete. No matter what you do. Cycle, boulder, lift weight, run or even walk.

The feet carry the entire load of the body and that is where force is generate from.

Be careful before you open your wallet for this stuff. There is a fair degree of pseudoscience involved and slick advertising campaigns, such as paying professional sports players to be seen with it on.

Have a read of some of the credible research that is out there, such as:
https://www.journalofphysiotherapy.com/article/S1836-9553(14)00009-5/fulltext

...and the lawyers are starting to catch up with it too:

All the best with your recovery, I know it can be frustrating.
