When I took up climbing, I found, like this guy, information obstacles. I gleaned things from climbers with very little experience, read books, set up top ropes on cliifs in the bush, and tried unsuccessfully to find on line instruction. I searched, in particular, for placing gear and setting up anchors with no luck.
Chockstone came up in most searches and opened my eyes to mostly controversy in the community. Entertaining reading but not what I needed to build an anchor. I desperately wanted you tube to teach me.
As much as I enjoyed watching it, I'm so relieved I didn't find this clip during that period.
I think this is a bit irresponsible. Only one chain, hasn't he heard of the modern principle of redundancy???
Double chain climbing is a bit of a lost art, but I did like the extended chain back up from the corner.
