We're headed over to see friends next week in Geraldton, and heading up to Kalbarri. We're planning on going to Z-Bend, but unfortunately, the road is closed for part of our visit.
Has any of you guys climbed at Hawks Head, and is able to tell me what the set up is?
Is it rap in, and if so are there top rope anchors/rap stations?
We'll have the kids with us....
Thanks in advance
Zig.

Suggest you check on the CAWA site http://www.climberswa.asn.au as that might have some more specific local info.

I climbed at hawks head a few years ago at the apiary crag. easy access, no fixed anchors. can walk to base. moderate grades. I recall there were enough gear placements at the top for TR or lead anchors.

Fair enough. Try contacting Remi Vignals then, he might have some info. Remi pretty much lives up at Kalbarri this time of year and has done quite a bit of the route development around there. You can reach him through his climbing holds business Tnut. http://tnut.com.au/about
He's also the chap that rediscovered a rare wallaby in Kalbarri Gorge a couple of years ago http://www.abc.net.au/news/2015-09-23/rare-rock-wallaby-sighted-for-first-time-in-20-years-experts/6798732
