Looking to do some rock climbing (not Ice climbing!) at Blue Lake. At what time of year could I reliably say that it should be fine for normal climbing and the snow / ice will be gone?

Not at all.....the last few northern winters have had record snowfall which I guess doesn't fit the warmist paradigm. In 2009/10 I had a few good ice days in North Wales which in the past have been a rarity. Also had a few Scottish climbing days in 2008 curtailed because of too much snow.

As far as I'm aware most British guides struggle on the ski requirements, not the winter climbing part.

Yeah, and.. and the other day it was quite cold at my nana's house therefore global warming is a completely made up conspiracy.

You're an idiot.

No, because there was limestone to be found, and someone had to do it. Just got promoted, the pay here is as good as Canberra now :-)

Actually it fits quite well, warmer oceans = more evaporation and greater precipitation(ie. snowfall).

As long as the temperatures drop sufficiently for the greater evaporation to become snow when the stars align and both things happen at once...

We may just end up with bigger dumps that last for shorter periods of time (which is what I believe they expect to happen - more severe in shorter time frames)
