Yep, all you need is love. Quickdraws are handy. But mostly just love. A rope is totally surpuflous.

I already have. There is a chain circling the summit just out of the photo with 18 bolts to keep it in place.

RE: The Bundaberg Ginger Beer ad is clearly shot around Queenstown in NZ - I recognize the 'quality' schist rock. You would think an Aussie company like that would be able to shoot it in Oz??

Here the good ol' boys from the ADF Tactical Assault Group show us what a real climbing rope looks like. I wonder how big their belay device is?

Yep I was rather surprised by that too and had to do a double take but the background is unmistakable

On the spam side of Weatherzone this morning. My chartered accountant certainly doesn't look like this sitting in her office. It must be real hard to burn on a calculator with mitts on...

That's an ad for the Westpac rescue helicopter - so actually quite relevant!

National Geographic have brought out a mountain Climbing Action Figure!
Complete with briefcase & suction cups to help at the crux.
My favourite is the quote "learn the characteristics of different animals"
... like how when you scare off nesting birds you add to species extinction?

It looks like they even have the Old Baldy eagle as part of the climbing excitement too!

Ok - this is just plain weird! I was at Sublime Point today (Blue Mountains climbing area) and spotted this car in the carpark.
For those not in the know, Dianetecis is part of the Scientology cult. Are they trying to convert climbers??

I thought all climbers were scientoligists? I started climbing so I could be like Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible. He's such a gennuine guy.

On my way home from Lactic Factory, I saw a climbing version of this campaign at Victoria Park Station but I didn't have a camera with me. http://www.adnews.com.au/campaign/mizone
Anyone else seen it? I remember thinking there was something odd about it. Possibly the trad rack with the running shoes (maybe they're approach shoes)...
