These are good points. The most impact you need to worry about realistically is vegetation damage. Purely from an access point of view. This is what is most obvious to nonclimbers as impact. The damage we cause to the rock is so minimal compared to the tourist roads, tracks and lookouts put in place it is funny that people have such an issue with rockclimbing. The drive to the boulder has more impact i believe.
