agreed but wat about the risk factors of listoning to ur ipod instead of various important calls from ur belay or climber?? (assuming ur not bouldering) i think it would be a stupid thing to do as it places both of you at risk. music stays in the gym.

Certainly, bouldering and soloing (Crazy man!!!!) would be the only time. Anyway for me climbing is all about being out there in the great outdoors.......................

Man what a heavy statement, I'm truly hurt by your insensitive thoughts (NOT!!!!). What I would like to know is why you think metal is the choss of the world. Do you have enough intelligence to explain or will you continue to bore us with dribble.

quite right Garath. i believe Metal is more musical than most if not all the currant "popular" music of this day and age, i view it in terms of skill... how much skill does it take to push buttons to a beat (techno) or to talk about gangsters to a beat (rap) compared to shredding on a guitar while the drummers calves cramp up while double kicking or creating your OWN original music unlike other genres where the songs are all written and made by a company only requiring a singer?
so why exactly do you say metal is choss?

I could explain it to you, but arguing with people who use multiple exclamation marks is not a recipe for a productive exchange of views.
kthxbi!!!!!!!!!!

Talk about avoidance Duncan. I promise not to use mutliple exclamation marks if your willing to justify your remarks.

You have obviously never been to a dance music or hip hop gig. The top people in these fields are geniunly super talented. A good turn-tablist can be mind blowing to watch - and a good MC free styling to a crowd it simply amazing. I appricate all styles of music - rather than dissing each others tastes - go out and get a feel for the 'other' side.

hmm yea but on average?
some are really talented, i don't deny that, for example those rappers that make everything up on the spot in front of a crowd, that's hard!! but the average rapper hangs a bit of silver round his neck and sings about being a gangster?!?!
