Hi,
After 4 1/2 years work compiling and researching, the first Comprehensive guide to the Grampians since the 1990's has been published and is now in stores.
The Central Grampians Comprehensive Guide (Vol 1) covers every documented route to around 124 crags within easy reach of Halls Gap, many of which have never been published. This includes:
Mt Rosea including the new sport area at North Rosea
Wurzelgummage Walls
Sundial
Wonderland Range incl. Wall of China, Taiwan and Grand Canyon
Pomonal Crags including Blazed Rock
The Guardians
The Watchtower
Little Joe Hill
The Observatory
Now in stock at: Bogong Equipment (Melbourne), Climbing Anchors (Alexandria and Collingwood), The Wilderness Shop (Box Hill), Absolute Outdoors (Halls Gap) and Rock Hardware (Bendigo).

I've seen drafts of this guide and reckon it's great. Also, the crags are outside the Special Protection Areas so there shouldn't be any ranger hassles at them.
Overall strongly recommended.

Thanks.
The Observatory. Uncompleted route!!
The Observatory is one of the crags north of the Sundial, facing the valley. Steep 3 pitch routes.

Nice picture but that rack seems to have been lifted straight from the 1970s! You do know that they have invented these new fangled devices called cams don't you?

You'll have to speak to Dave. I know he's bought a new helmet ..

Yeah, I bought a couple directly from Steve. It's a great Guide and it's fabulous that it's comprehensive and covers previously unpublished crags. I'm really enjoying reading it and planning some future trips.
Thanks for all of your effort Steve.
