OK, no Coopers, but if I get desperate (I know this will appeal to WW&S) there's always the local moonshine for AUD$1.30 for 250 ml - about 45% proof and tastes much better than metho. White chicks? Once you go black you never go back.... oooh, stop it, I'm getting a semi

Because the First Fleet sailed a little over 200 years ago, and you missed the boat. Now off you go.
... or would you rather a short stay in Malaysia?

In Melbourne, some guys prefer " :- " , personally, I prefer " | ", dark on the outside. Though, gay mates just tell me I haven't found the right " :- " yet...

After a decade in the UK (and quite a bit in the rest of Europe) I didn't miss much but here are a few things:
- good coffee. Australia can pretty much match it with the best in Italy. The UK does a poor job of it with the excesption of Pret a Manger in the chains.
- news and current affairs. good in depth analysis and world coverage in the newspapers and telly. The Australian, ABC and SBS have some good offerings although i've noticed the SMH going downhill a bit.
- Oz politics. We are reasonably well engaged as a nation and these are interesting times, although in some quarters there seems to be the view that some debates are settled, therefore any contrary opinion should be opposed on principle. Never a dull moment though.
- we are not a basket case economy unlike some of old europe and have much less of the welfare-dependent underclass of the UK

The technical term is a 'dog's bollocks' actually
Citing usage from 1949, the OED calls this mark the dog’s bollocks, which it defines as, “typogr. a colon followed by a dash, regarded as forming a shape resembling the male sexual organs.”
