Problem is I'm leaving for Tasmania very soon, at least this way there will be someone else they can grab them off.
In any case, what amount of time do you believe is a good amount?

If it helps, I can undertake not to wear them for a month or so and will happily hand them over to the owner if they pop up.

I'll also be riding past Camels Hump on my Sunday morning ride and can leave a note at the carpark - how's that for service?

Douglas dropped off the shoes at my place for me to try and find the owner.

I will leave a sign at Camels plus keep bumping the various posts in an effort to get the shoes back.

If no-one responds within a month I'll be in touch Rudi.
