Don't forget that when you loop a length of cord you double it's strength, so ignoring the knot, the loop of cord threaded through the hex would be good for 2 x 13.5 = 27kN. Even if the knot halved the strength of the cord, it'd still be good for 13.5kN, which is far more than you'd be wanting to experience on a fall.
