Ours was slippery as all f*** I know the beastmaker boys have used 2 types of wood and one of them was more slippery (I think we got that batch) so we very very lightly sandpapered ours with a fine grade sandpaper and now it's amazeballs(better than it was.) I know with more use they get stickier - ie bayside's beasty is super sticky.
