Strangely true, but that's what happened. It was my tent & gear that mysteriously vanished into thin air yesterday prompting much speculation. Fortunately a got a call halfway back to Melbourne to say someone had accidentally packed up my gear earlier in the day, then returned to the campsite and realised the mistake (haven't quite got all the finer details of how it actually all happened). It's now with a friend wending it's way back to Melbourne tonight. If anybodies up at The Pines and sees the note still on the notice board, I would be grateful if you could chuck it in bin. Don't want to create a wave of mass paranoia about Tent Rustling.
