Yeah, my dry treated rope has been washed several times - mainly to remove 'spurt dirt'! No adverse handling effects. Try as much as you can to stop it, dirt still gets into dry ropes ......... and is harmful to the core. It also makes for disgusting belayer's hands! Hence wash the rope as per usual. I use Lux Flakes, but plain water works too. Michael
