Have you had a serious injury (that is, requiring hospitalisation) while lead climbing ?

As this is the interwebs, and just in case Mr Grubble is lurking, I didn't sustain my injury requiring hospitalisation whilst lead climbing. Indeed I did not suffer the injury fall either. I sustained the injury during the sudden stop at the completion of the fall. So I guess my response to the options above is "No".

Im going to dodge this poll as im superstitious and a vote of "no" would probably come back and bite me.

Yes, decked once, knocked unconscious, 13 stitches. Lesson learned.

I got bitten by a spider and spent a week in hospital once. Does that count?

I remember reading a similar US poll that showed I think it was something like 60% had had serious injuries ... but I can't find it again.
A UK study found 10% injuries in falls per annum and much more overuse injuries, with half having doctor's visits to attend to climbing injuries in 12 months.
